The VHF Class A/B BDA is offered in 4-port simplex and duplex models, with high or low band operation, featuring 1 watt and 85dB of gain. In Class A operation, there are 16 filters per band, each with individual filter bandwidths ranging from 12.5KHz to 75KHz. Additionally, wideband operation of up to 24MHz is available for VHF. Listed to UL/CSA 2524, it is also compliant with UL/CSA 62368-1, UL50E Type 4 standards.

Moreover, all versions come equipped with a full-featured, easy-to-use web GUI. They include factory-configurable filters, intelligent oscillation management, a built-in isolation test, and NFPA/UL2524 alarm capabilities. The BDAs also feature built-in battery backup circuitry and a communication link for an optional remote annunciator panel.

Westell’s ProtectLink™ BDAs play a crucial role in any NFPA-compliant Emergency Responder Communications Enhancement System (ERCES) or private land mobile radio (LMR) system.
