The G1001-MR G.hn to Ethernet devices power the rugged IP67 GAM family, supporting ETSI Reverse Power Feed (RPF). This enables easy installation of the GAM outdoors without local power sources. The GAM-8-MRX and GAM-4-MRX offer 8 and 4 MIMO ports, operating in SISO or MIMO mode when powered by G1001-MR devices.

ITU-T G.9960 G.hn Wave-2 leverages existing copper wiring for cost-effective Gigabit Internet access, avoiding delays associated with fiber installation.

Operators simplify infrastructure with G.hn as an Ethernet-like technology, scaling without DSL complexities. G.hn extends fiber and fixed wireless Gigabit services, reducing capital and operational expenses. The Positron GAM is MEF CE 2.0 compliant, ideal for Business Ethernet services in MDU/MTU deployments.

Advantages

  • Support for Reverse Power Feeds.
  • Leverages existing telephone wiring for copper wiring (UTP, CAT-3 or CAT-5/5e)
  • Avoids high capital cost of a fiber retrofit.
  • Delivers near symmetrical Gigabit Internet access to subscribers.
  • Used in conjunction with the Positron Outdoor GAM 4 or 8 MRX
  • Avoids complexity of DSL-related technologies.
  • Simplifies access network and backend infrastructure.
