The Point-To-Point Estimator is a free, very useful web based tool for anyone installing point to point links. The PtP Estimator allows you to determine quickly whether a point-to-point link will work between two locations that you specify. It enables you to compare manufacturers, simply and accurately, while taking into account the terrain of your area, products’ performance and more.

Go to the Alphimax website , register (free) and launch the PtP Estimator page.

How to use the tool:

1. Choose your regulatory domain (FCC North America, Europe, etc.).
2. Set the global positioning coordinates of the sites you wish to connect. Set the coordinates for Site A, then do the same for Site B.
3. Set the height of the buildings or towers where the antennae will be located.
4. Specify the frequencies you will use and the expected bandwidth usage.
5. State whether you will use integrated or external antennae.
6. You can select all manufacturers or choose one vendor
7. Select the type of terrain, climate, measurement units (imperial or metric).
