This product offer a novel approach by merging the benefits of a Channelized Class A solution with the structure of a Wideband Class B architecture.

Unlike traditional public safety BDAs and Fiber DAS solutions categorized as Class A with narrower bandwidth filters, these products feature wider 100kHz and 150kHz filters. Consequently, they don’t meet Class A criteria and are instead classified as Class B under FCC rules.

However, Class B BDAs and Fiber DAS systems usually use wideband filters (often up to three), introducing noise into the public safety network. This noise includes not just essential jurisdiction channels but also unrelated RF like voice traffic, contributing to a higher noise floor and potentially impacting network efficiency.
