A New Perspective on Wireless Site Maintenance

July 19th, 2018

This morning I watched a videoabout acorns stored in an antenna – it’s only one minute long, well worth the watch. It was posted in 2009 but seems to have gained a new life as it’s making the way around MSN.

I’d be surprised if this antenna was working at all with the amount of acorns in there.

It does draw attention to one point – site maintenance. Obviously it’s something that should be done on a regular basis – the time frame for that will depend upon the site itself and what you have there. Of course with systems the way they are now, you can remotely monitor and if you see signal problems, you are best to schedule a site visit. Just goes to show, you really never know what you are going to find when you get there!
